Clematis Rouge Cardinal is a large-flowered Clematis with dark red to deep purple-red blooms. The flowers appear around May and June, providing a colourful wall or trellis early in the season. The plant can grow up to 3.5 metres high and has fairly light green foliage. It is winter hardy but deciduous; a true seasonal plant that refreshes itself every year.
