Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for every 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed more easily into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed, or the breed group, certain ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific complaints can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Beagle-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Beagle. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Beagle belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Beagle.
Blueberry
Blueberries belong to the heather family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the Northern Hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.
Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fibre for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamins C and K. It could support the immune system and contribute to the dog's overall health.
Tomato
The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog, we use tomato on a culinary level, considering tomato as a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fibre content, which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red colour. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving a tomato its red colour, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene, among other things, can offer protection against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.
Tomato is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general cleansing effect on the body.
Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. This plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands in the Netherlands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. Originally from North America, the plant is said to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost for dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes urine more acidic, which makes the bladder environment less attractive to bacteria. The addition of cranberry can also have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. The healthy fibres in cranberries have a healthy effect on digestion and provide a longer feeling of fullness.

Puppy, adult, or senior?
To help you make the right choice between our Beagle dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Beagle is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Beagle older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Beagle senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

We are convinced of the quality of our food. That is why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packages. If your Beagle doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyse the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, we will refund your purchase amount.

Transition Advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days as well. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Beagle dog food.
Storage Advice
After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you seal as best as possible, into the bin.
