Our ingredients
To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Erdélyi kopó specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Erdélyi kopó. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Erdélyi kopó belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Erdélyi kopó.
Basil
Basil is a genus from the mint family. Its name comes from Old Greek, where "basileus" means king, hence its alternative name, "king's herb." It is originally found between Central Africa and Southeast Asia.
According to traditional medicine, basil was used as a treatment method for arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart disease, and abdominal pain, among other things. Research has shown that basil can have strong antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties. In addition, basil can promote digestion, help eliminate waste products, and can have an antispasmodic and calming effect on the dog.
Tomato
The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog, we use tomatoes at a culinary level, considering tomatoes as a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content which contributes to digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can, among other things, offer protection against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.
Tomato is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.
Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. The plant originally comes from North America and is said to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can offer a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are, among other things, rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, which makes the environment in the bladder less attractive for bacteria. The addition of cranberry can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. Puppy, adult or senior?
To help you make the right choice between our Erdélyi kopó dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Erdélyi kopó is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For an Erdélyi kopó older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Erdélyi kopó Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.
Palatability guarantee
We are convinced of the quality of our food. That is why we provide a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packages. If your Erdélyi kopó does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of the purchase amount.

Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then feed 100% Yourdog Erdélyi kopó dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you close as tightly as possible, into the bin.
