Our Ingredients
To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed, or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Hamiltonstövare. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Hamiltonstövare belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Hamiltonstövare.
Fennel
Fennel is a plant from the parsley family and is recognizable by its anise flavor. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb, and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.
Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamins A and C, and the minerals iron and potassium.
Fennel can be added to our dog food because it can support digestion and counteract bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.
Blueberry

Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. Originally from North America, it is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are, among other things, rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C and antioxidants to support the immune system. Puppy, Adult or Senior?
To help you make the right choice between our Hamiltonstövare dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Hamiltonstövare is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Hamiltonstövare older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Hamiltonstövare senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.
Palatability Guarantee
We are convinced of the quality of our food. That is why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packages. If your Hamiltonstövare does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of the purchase price.

Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can, at your own discretion, start feeding 100% Yourdog Hamiltonstövare dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you close as tightly as possible, into the bin.
