Our ingredients

Buffalo

Poultry

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed, or the breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Hellinikos Ichnilatis. Basil

At Yourdog, we use tomatoes at a culinary level, treating them as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content, which contributes to digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving tomatoes their red color, lycopene is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can, among other things, offer protection against cancer and help with cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Tomato is added to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular diseases. It can also have a general purifying effect on the body.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the country. The plant originally comes from North America and is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are, among other things, rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also full of vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C acidifies the urine, which makes the bladder environment less attractive for bacteria. The addition of cranberry can also have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. The healthy fibers in cranberries have a beneficial effect on digestion and provide a longer feeling of fullness.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Yourdog Hellinikos Ichnilatis dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Hellinikos Ichnilatis is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Hellinikos Ichnilatis older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Hellinikos Ichnilatis Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Feeding advice

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog will now be almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Hellinikos Ichnilatis dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you have sealed as tightly as possible, into the bin.
