Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, allowing it to be processed more easily into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, providing your dog with all essential, natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Russian Terrier specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Russian Terrier. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Russian Terrier belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Russian Terrier.
Basil
Basil is a genus from the mint family. The name comes from Ancient Greek, where "basileus" means king, so the alternative name is also "king's herb." It originally grew between Central Africa and Southeast Asia.
According to traditional medicine, basil was used as a treatment method for arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart diseases, and abdominal pain, among other things. Research has shown that basil can have strong antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties. In addition, basil can promote digestion, help with the removal of waste products, and can have an antispasmodic and calming effect on dogs.
Mango
Mango belongs to the genus Mangifera and probably originates from northeastern India and Southeast Asia. It is a stone fruit with varying shapes and grows on a tree that can reach a height of 40 meters.
This delicious summer treat is packed with essential vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamins A, B6, C, and E and is rich in potassium, beta-carotene, and alpha-carotene. Furthermore, mango contains many healthy dietary fibers that contribute to strengthening the immune system and digestion. The natural antioxidant (vitamin C) contributes to supporting vital bodily functions. Vitamin A is full of beta-carotene, which can help maintain and improve vision.
We add mango to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting the dog's resistance and healthy digestion. In addition, mango can support the dog's vision.
Apple
The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the commonly known hand apples grow, especially in the northern hemisphere. The apple grows in temperate regions.
Dietary fibers have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making stools soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates intestinal function but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.
Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that contributes to supporting healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.
Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the early years.

Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three more days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Russian Terrier dog food as you deem fit.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the container, but to place the entire bag, which you seal as best as possible, in the container.
