The Zamioculcas Zamiifolia, also known as the ZZ plant, is an easy, green houseplant that thrives indoors. Originally from Zanzibar, Kenya, and Madagascar, this plant skillfully grows towards the light and can tolerate partial shade well. A little extra sun is not a problem, but avoid intense direct sunlight. Rotate the plant occasionally so that it remains upright and does not grow crooked. A special feature: the plant stores water in its stem and roots, meaning you don't have to water it as often. In summer, watering every two weeks is sufficient, in winter once every three weeks. Please note: plants are living products and may differ from the photo and description. Our Zamioculcas is delivered in a plastic nursery pot and is directly packaged and shipped from the nursery.

Care & Placement

Preferably place the ZZ plant in partial shade; a little more sun can sometimes be fine, but avoid dehydration or extremely direct heat. Let the leaves grow towards the light and rotate the plant regularly so that it does not lean to one side. The water storage in the stem and roots means that regular watering is less necessary, which is especially convenient if you are often away or simply looking for a low-maintenance plant.
