100% recycled aluminum
The extraction and processing of metal minerals has a polluting impact on the environment. The recycling of non-ferrous metals contributes to the EU policy to reduce environmental impact. Aluminum is an example of a non-ferrous metal; these are metals that do not contain iron or whose alloys do not have iron as their main component.
The pans from the Root line are made from 100% recycled aluminum. Products such as cans and aluminum foil are used for this.
The advantage of recycling aluminum is that the basic characteristics of the metal remain unchanged, and thus the recycled aluminum does not differ from the originally obtained aluminum. This process also significantly contributes to reducing the exploitation of natural resources and lowers energy costs.
6 sustainable layers
The frying pan consists of 6 layers. A stainless steel base, a base of 100% recycled aluminum and a durable water-based coating of 4 layers. The water-based coating, combined with new techniques, reduces product waste and discards. This reduces the emission of harmful gases and substances and leads to a reduction in environmental impact. The intermediate coating is also reinforced with mineral particles. This guarantees the longest possible durability, offers the best non-stick properties and high resistance.
ECOSystem handle
The pan features a newly developed "ECOSystem" handle. This has been developed according to the technical guidelines and procedures established to protect the environment. The handle is produced with a minimum of 50% natural raw materials and regenerated materials. The natural raw materials are sourced from PEFC and FSC certified, sustainable sources.
Sustainable packaging
Even the packaging is recycled. The cardboard packaging consists of 100% recycled cardboard made from FSC-certified raw materials. The FSC label promotes the development of sustainable and ecological forms of production. This provides long-term benefits for forests, animals, plants, and populations.
In addition, the bag containing the pan is made of bioplastic, which is 100% compostable.
